Prior to becoming a software engineer, I studied Film & Television Production at New York University and worked in that industry as a Set Production Assistant for the better part of a decade. Film sets tend to be fast-paced and intense, but I found that I work well under pressure. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, production in New York came to a standstill and I had some time on my hands.
After some reflection and a free online course for JavaScript, I decided to shift gears and enroll in App Academy, a 1000-hour coding bootcamp. After graduating from their difficult program, I was fortunate to join App Academy as an Instructor. In that role, I found education to be super rewarding and taught aspiring engineers the ins and outs of Object Oriented Programming and Full Stack Web Development. Since then, I have pivoted my career to pursue full-time software engineering.
As a Software Engineer, I love learning new technologies and problem-solving. In my previous work, I have enjoyed using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, React/Redux, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and Git. Currently, I am actively learning Python and TypeScript.

Sol is a 2D data visualization of our solar system's nine planets and their respective characteristics. After choosing a specific planetary body, it fetches that body's unique data. That unique data is then dynamically rendered to highlight each planetary body's uniqueness.
